Joseph Dwornak Joseph Dwornak, 88, of Zionsville, died April 14, 2012 in Lawrenceville Nursing and Rehab. He was the husband of Anne (Wolanyk) Dwornak, with whom he celebrated 63 years of marriage. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Basil and Sophie (Mruk) Dwornak. He was employed in security for Trojan Powder and Commercial Solvents for many years, retiring in 1985. He was a member of St. Peters Union Church, where he was a member of the Church Council and was a Sunday School Teacher. He was an Emmaus High School Basketball star nicknamed Shorty , was a member of the Emmaus Kiwanis club, Emmaus Senior Citizens, the Serenaders, volunteered at Lehigh Valley hospital for many years, and liked taking care of his family, traveling, and gardening. He honorably served his country in the Navy during WWII. Survivors: Wife; Daughters, Elaine wife of William Cannon and Alice wife of William Sandifer; Grandchildren, Matthew, Christopher, and Stephanie. Services: Funeral Services Wed., April 18, 2012 at 2:00 PM in St. Peters Union Church, 7863 St. Peters Road, Macungie, PA 18062. Viewing Tuesday 7:00 to 8:30 PM in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus and Wednesday 1:00 to 2:00 PM in the church. Interment with military honors will follow in St. Peters Union Cemetery.
