Marple
January 5, 1944 – November 25, 2025
John R. Marple, 81, of Wescosville, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on Mon., Nov. 25, 2025. He was the son of the late T. Clinton Marple, Sr. and Mabel V. Marple. He was happily married for 53 years to Nancy A. Marple. He is predeceased by a sister, Mary E. Marple and a brother, T. Clinton Marple, Jr. Survivors are his dear sister, Mabel Wessman, sister-in-law, Barbara Marple, sister-in-law, Loretta Debus, and one niece and five nephews.
John was a graduate of Drexel University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. He was employed by Air Products and Chemical, Trexlertown, until his retirement. Prior to that he worked at Gilbert Associates, Reading and Pressure Products, Hatfield. He was a licensed Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania and in Washington State. He was a member of ASME, ASHRAE, NSPE, and PSPE.
John was a dedicated member of Faith U.C.C., Center Valley. He enjoyed the time he spent working with the Property Committee at Faith U.C.C.
Over the years, John liked working with anything mechanical. He had a fondness for historical railroad and was a member of many historical railroad societies. John also enjoyed leisure travel with his wife and he will be deeply missed by her.
A memorial service for John will be scheduled at Faith U.C.C., Center Valley, to be determined at a later date. Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
