John Bernhardt Thomas John B. Jack Thomas, 91, of Emmaus, died May 19, 2009 in Lehigh Valley Hospital Inpatient Hospice Unit. He was the husband of Marie B. (Stanley) Thomas. He was born May 15, 1918 in Shenandoah, grew up in Slatedale and graduated from Slatington High School. While working at Aldrich Pump Co. as a draftsman, he completed college courses at Lehigh University. He retired after 50 years from Aldrich Pump Co./Ingersoll Rand as the Manager of Marketing. During his long career with Ingersoll Rand, he traveled extensively around the world. His outside interests included a wide range of reading, particularly history, poetry and Shakespeare. He loved gardening and was an enthusiastic golfer. He and his wife took many wonderful trips with the friends they met through golf.
