John A. Jack Pryor John A. Jack Pryor, 81, of Macungie and Sarasota, FL, died March 29, 2009 in The Lutheran Home at Topton. He was the husband of Gladys M. (Dewalt) Pryor, with whom he celebrated 60 years of marriage in September 2008. Born in Jeannette, he was the son of the late Leroy V. and Bessie (Jones) Pryor. He was a 1945 graduate of Jeannette High School, a 1948 graduate of Penn State University with a BS in Chemical Engineering, a 1971 graduate of Lehigh University with an MBA, and a 1981 graduate of the Harvard Advanced Management Program. He worked as a process engineer for Blaw-Knox in Pittsburgh and later as a chemical engineer for Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. for many years, retiring in 1985 as Vice President of Equipment and Engineering Services. Jack was devoted to his family and worked to provide resources for his children and grandchildren to enhance their lives. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and a very positive role model of hard work and caring for others. Survivors: Wife; Son, John A. Pryor, Jr. and wife Ginger of Lebanon; Daughters, Judith wife of Michael Florey of Upland, CA, Deborah wife of John Kooker of Breinigsville, Susan wife of Paul Fries of Emmaus, and Patricia Pryor of Allentown; Grandchildren, Matthew and Daniel Lowrie, Adam Kooker, Alayna and Allison Fries, Elizabeth Elison, A. Philip, Ian, and Sarah Roth, and Loran and Cori Pryor; Great Grandchildren, Wyatt, Adeline, and Beatrice Lowrie, and Chase Elison. Services: Memorial Services Friday, April 3, 2009 at 11:00 AM in the Schantz Funeral Home, Inc., 250 Main St., Emmaus. Friends may call 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Western Salisbury Cemetery.
