John Angelo Florio John Angelo Florio quietly passed away on Tuesday, March 17th among members of his family. John was born in Paduli, Italy, on February 15, 1919. His parents, Rocco and Clementina immigrated to Oyster Bay, New York when John was three years old. John was a boxer in New York and a fight trainer, manager, and promoter in the Lehigh Valley. John helped carve out the utility grid in this country and owned and operated Jaflo Tree Service since 1964. Survivors: He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce. John has three children, his daughter, Tina and sons, John P."Jay" and Dean. John has four grandchildren, Colleen, John, Celeste and Cheyenne and two great-grandchildren, Kyle and Cory. John is also survived by his sister, Nancy and brothers, Emilio and Rocco. Services: Funeral Services Saturday, March 21, 2009 at 10:00 AM in Horace W. Schantz Funeral Home, Inc.250 Main Street, Emmaus. Viewing Friday 7:00 to 8:30 PM and Saturday 9:00 to 10:00 AM in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery.
