John A. Ferraro, 88, of Zionsville, passed away peacefully Oct. 6, 2026 in his home. He was the husband of Patricia M. (Capwell) Ferraro, with whom he shared 32 years of marriage. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late John and Caroline (Villano) Ferraro. John graduated from West Chester University with a degree in music education. He was a music teacher and band director for the Salisbury School District for 36 years, retiring in 1996. He was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Emmaus. He was a member of the Reading Buccaneers and inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1996.

John is survived by his wife, Patty; daughter, Victoria Moyer. He was predeceased by his brothers, Frank and Ron and sister, Carolyn.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Sat., Oct. 24, 2026 at 10:00 AM in St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 415 S. 6th St., Emmaus. Visitation 9:00 to 10:00 AM in the church. Blue was John's favorite color, and Patty is asking that everyone wear something blue. Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
