John B. Evans, 91, formerly of West Lawn, died October 5, 2017 in Devon House.  He was the husband of Patricia Evans.  Born in Ben Avon, Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Sidney and Eleanor Evans.  He was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh.  He worked as an engineer for Almaka Corporation from 1961 until retiring in the late 1980's. He was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church and West Lawn United Methodist Church.

Survivors: Loving wife of 70 years, Patricia; Son, Chris Evans and wife Darlene of Allentown; Daughter, Pamela wife of Rev. John McBride of West Lawn; Grandchildren, Bryan Baszczewski and wife Olenka, Kevan Baszczewski, and Joseph O'Rourke and wife Stacy; Great Grandchildren, Alex, Sofia, Lucas, and Lincoln.  He was predeceased by Brothers, Sidney Evans, Jr., James Evans, and Fred Evans.

Services: Private at the convenience of the family.  Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
