John R. Erich John R. Erich, 89, of Macungie, died May 27, 2011 in Mosser Nursing Home. He was the husband of the late Sarah J. (Bauer) Erich. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Russell and Rosa (Albright) Erich. He worked as a tinsmith for Local Union #19 retiring in 1986. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Macungie. John also was a member of the Macungie VFW and the Macungie Historical Society. He honorably served his country in the Navy during WWII. Survivors: Daughter-in-law, Barbara A. Erich of Allentown; Grandchildren, Loren Erich and wife Lisa of San Tan Valley, AZ, Pamela wife of Shawn Hoppes of Macungie, and Scott Erich and wife Laura of Alpharetta, GA; Great Grandchildren, Tiffany, Crystal, and Ashley Hoppes and Nathan and Chase Erich. He was predeceased by a son, Blair D. Erich and brothers, Robert and James Erich. Services: Funeral Services Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the Schantz Funeral Home, Inc., 250 Main Street, Emmaus. Viewing 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the funeral home.
