John S. Dychala, Sr. John S. Dychala, Sr., 88, of Macungie, died Oct. 22, 2010 in the Village at Willow Lane. He was the widow of the late Theresa M. (Szymurski) Dychala. Born in Chester, he was the son of the late Peter and Mary (Gronski) Dychala. He worked for Sun Ship and later for Texaco for many years, retiring in 1977 as plant manager. He was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Allentown. He was a life member of the Macungie VFW and an officer and past president of St. Hedwigs Catholic Club. He was an avid bowler and golfer. He honorably served his country in the Navy during WWII. Survivors: Son, John Dychala, Jr. and wife Lisa of Emmaus; Daughter, Andrea Fegley of Wescosville; Grandchildren, Allison, Kimberly and husband David, Megan, and Kaitlyn. He was predeceased by siblings, Anne Borkowski and Stanley, Joseph, Benjamin, and Henry Dychala. Services: Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, Oct. 25, 2010 at 12:30 PM in St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1040 Flexor Ave., Allentown. Friends may call 11:30 to 12:30 PM in the church. Interment with military honors will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Wescosville. Schantz Funeral Home, Inc., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
