John Buchen, lifelong resident of Zionsville, PA, died Friday, November 21, 2025.   He was the son of the late Tessie (Bandura) and Anthony Buchen.  John resided on the farm property where he was born and attended the local township school.  He served in the US Marines during the time of the Korean Conflict.  Following his military service, John worked for his brother Harry in an appliance repair business in Macungie.  He had various other places of employment in his lifetime and especially enjoyed his work at Pillsbury Corporation in East Greenville.

John married Barbara Muehlenberger in 1969 and they shared 38 years if marriage.  He assisted her in her pottery business.  John especially enjoyed farm tractors and equipment and going to sales and auctions for such items.

John was predeceased by his siblings Kathryn Schwartz, Julia Sterner, Harry Buchen, Mary Rumfield, Helen Buchen and Joseph Buchen.  He is survived by seven nieces and nephews.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.  Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
