IN LOVING MEMORY OF
John S.
Adams
December 29, 1941 – January 4, 2026
John S. Adams, 84, of Emmaus, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2026, at Lehigh Valley Hospital. For over 50 years, he was the devoted husband of Diane E. Adams, his beloved soulmate, greatest friend, and constant companion throughout their life together.
Born in Bryn Mawr, John was the son of the late Stephen D. and Hannah E. (Campbell) Adams. A 1963 graduate of Wilkes College, he was a two-sport varsity athlete in soccer and golf. John enjoyed a successful professional career spanning more than 45 years as owner of Adams & Adams, Inc., an industrial manufacturer's sales agency, and later as a part-owner of Westmoreland Plastics Company in Latrobe, PA. He defined success not by career milestones but by the life he built with his family.
John and Diane shared five decades of marriage filled with laughter, loyalty, and unwavering love. John's greatest joy was his family. He cherished watching his children grow, supporting and celebrating their athletic pursuits, and sharing in their adult lives, especially the time spent with his grandchildren. Countless wonderful memories were made together, both individually and as a family, all of which will be treasured forever.
John also strongly believed in community and friendship. He was a longtime member and past president of Lehigh Country Club, where he formed many lasting friendships that he valued greatly. He also generously gave of his time as a board member of Wildlands Conservancy, the Emmaus Aquatic Club, and the West Allentown Exchange Club.
A lifelong golf enthusiast, John took particular pleasure in time on the course. Over the years, he recorded three holes-in-one, shot his age on multiple occasions, and enjoyed success in many tournaments. He also enjoyed traveling, especially time spent in Naples, Florida, summers in Vermont at Quimby Country, and memorable family beach vacations.
John is survived by his loving wife, Diane; his sons, Peter Adams and his wife Nicole, and Richard Adams and his wife Kim; his daughter, Arianne Adams; and his cherished grandchildren, Laird, Sloane, Meghan, Kieran, and Patrick. He was predeceased by his sister, Janet Foreback.
