Joan D. Schwartz, 93, formerly of Macungie, died March 13, 2024 in Fellowship Manor.  She was the wife of the late Vernet I. "Neddy" Schwartz.  Born in Macungie, she was the daughter of the late Charles W. and Dorothy M. (Hummel) Moyer.   She was a 1949 graduate of Emmaus High School and a 1952 graduate of the Allentown Hospital School of Nursing.  She worked as a registered nurse for Good Shepherd and Lehigh Valley Hospital.  She was an active member of Solomon's U.C.C., Macungie, serving on church council.  She was an energetic volunteer in the community at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Emmaus Board of Health, Kalmbach and Macungie Memorial Park.

Joan is survived by her son, Dean C. Schwartz of Emmaus; daughter, Barbara J. wife of Gregory Ebner of Emmaus; grandson, Logan Schwartz and wife Allison of Northampton; sisters, LeAnn wife of James Warmkessel of Emmaus and Marjorie wife of Richard Eisenhard of Pittsburgh.

Funeral services will be held on Tues., March 19, 2024 at 11:00 AM in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus.  Visitation 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the funeral home.
