Joan M. Deisinger Joan M. Deisinger, 72, of Allentown went peacefully to her Lord on January 2, 2014 in her home. She was married to the Rev. John J. Deisinger for 51 years. She was born in Waterloo, Iowa to parents C. Guy and Dorothy M. Grace. They lived in Kingston, Jamaica, Bogota Colombia, and Toronto, Canada, moving to the USA before Joan started college. She received a B.S. in Physics from Ursinus College and was Salutatorian of her class. She retired in 1994 from R.R. Donnelley and Sons, Inc., Allentown (formerly ComCom, Inc.) as manager of Production. She was a volunteer for several organizations throughout her lifetime including literacy tutor for ProJeCt of Easton, volunteer Tax Aide for AARP, and canteen aide for the Miller Keystone Blood Center. She was a member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church, Allentown, where she served on various committees. She and her husband shared a love of travel, visiting 6 continents and more than 58 countries. Survivors: She is survived by her husband, her daughter, Audra S. Leiderman, wife of Robert M. Leiderman, grandson John R. Leiderman, step-granddaughters, Stephanie Leiderman and Christina Fritz, wife of Aaron Fritz, and step-great-granddaughters Jocelyn and Alexandra Fritz. She was predeceased by a son, Daniel J. Deisinger. Services: Services will be at St. Timothy Lutheran Church, 140 S. Ott St., Allentown at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 8 with calling hours at 10:00 AM.
