Obituary

Jeffrey Terry Erney, 64, of Whitehall, died November 4, 2025 in Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest.   Born in Allentown, he was the son of Terry C. Erney and the late Dorothy (Lychak) Bassler.  Jeff was the owner of Ernlan Industrial Sales, Inc. for over 20 years.  He was a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungry Catholic Church, Whitehall.

Jeffrey was described by his family and many friends as having a heart of gold.  He was one of the kindest, loving, most caring, and generous men you could ever meet. He lived his life giving to others, always before himself.  He loved his mother, father, and sister fiercely, but had enough room in his heart for all his family and friends.

As a young boy, he developed a love of baseball and spent countless hours throwing ball into a pitching net.  You could find him on the fields down the street at Mountainville playing baseball and basketball.  He quickly became a lifelong devoted Yankees fan and Minnesota Vikings fan. He loved watching cartoons and later other TV shows with his sister.  Jeff was extremely intelligent, great with numbers, but he was also a talented salesman which helped him early on with his newspaper route (he proudly bought a Camaro at 16 with those savings) and ultimately his own business.

Jeffrey is survived by his beloved family: father, Terry C. Erney and wife Patricia; sister, Susan A. Erney-Gleason wife of Kevin Gleason; stepson, Patrick J. Walker and wife Anissa; aunt, Gail wife of Gary Lieberman; former wife, Lisa Brennan and her daughters, Kristen and Alicia.  He is also survived by his stepfather, Donald Bassler and three stepsiblings, Donnie, Amy, and Gary.

He is predeceased by his "best mother in the world", Dorothy Bassler and long-time partner, Maggie Gasser.

A celebration of Jeff's life will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at 11:00 AM in Schantz Funeral Home, 250 Main Street, Emmaus.  Visitation 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the funeral home.
