Jean E. Wetzel Jean E. Wetzel, 77, of Macungie, died October 30, 2009 in her residence. She was the wife of Richard W. Wetzel. She was a remarkable woman and a loving wife to her husband of 58 years. Born in Emmaus, she was the daughter of the late John E. and Mildred L. (Sallade) Acker. She worked as a secretary for most of her life except when she took time off to raise her children. She was a secretary at Huff Union Church for 14 years prior to her retirement. After retirement, she and her husband spent winters in Florida. She volunteered as a teachers aid at Hereford Elementary School for many years. She was a long standing member of Huffs Union Church and a member of the ladies aid. She loved doing counted cross-stitch and croqueting baby blankets for expectant mothers. Survivors: Husband; Sons, Michael and friend Joanna Stauffer of East Greenville and Steven and his wife Anne of Boyertown; Daughter, Lori Wetzel of Wescosville; 6 Grandchildren.
