Obituary

Jean H. Iobst, 94, of Allentown, died March 19, 2022 in Phoebe Miller Personal Care.  She was the wife of the late Edgar Henry Iobst, Jr.  Born in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late Lydia (Rupp) and Frederick W. Miller, Sr.  She was a 1944 graduate of Emmaus High School.  Jean worked in customer service for the former Meridian Bank for 25 years, retiring in 1982.  She was a member of Chestnut Hill U.C.C., where she was the treasurer and Sunday School teacher.  Jean was a life member and treasurer of Lower Milford Twp. Fire Company, member and treasurer of Lower Lehigh AARP, member and treasurer of the Emmaus Garden Club, member of the Emmaus Historical Society and Shelter House.  She was active on the Phoebe Terrace Residents Council.

Jean is survived by her son, Thomas H. Iobst of Wynnewood; daughter, Ellen D. Iobst wife of Stephen Dunbar of Allentown; grandchildren, Bryn Iobst Dunbar and Owen Iobst Dunbar.  She was predeceased by daughter, Janet L. Stortz, and brother, Frederick W. Miller, Jr.

Funeral services will be held on Fri. March 25, 2022 at 4:00 PM in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus.  Viewing 3:00 to 4:00 AM in the funeral home.  Interment will be private in Chestnut Hill Church Cemetery.
