Janet E. Moyer, age 86, of Allentown, passed on to be with our Lord on November 16, 2023. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late LeRoy and Hilda T. (Sickar) Miller. She was the loving wife of the late Marvin R. Moyer with whom they shared 64 years of marriage.

She graduated from William Allen High School. She earned her College Degree in Early Childhood Education. Janet also had special training in the Montessori Method of Education. She owned and operated Discovery Preschool in Emmaus, a very well respected Preschool with a private kindergarten which was certified by the state of Pennsylvania. Janet and Marvin owned and operated Discovery Preschool for over 35 years. She was a member of Childcare Providers in Lehigh County.

Marvin and Janet spent much time with their family traveling extensively and loved to see different parts of the world. Janet always enjoyed an evening glass of merlot while watching the sunset. You could even find her with a spritzer watching her favorite show Blue Bloods.

Janet is survived by her daughters, Lynda L. Moyer of Bethlehem and Cynthia Gellis and her husband Stephen of Macungie; grandchildren, Stephen Gellis, II and his wife Brenda, Jason Gellis and his wife Jessica and Amanda Gellis; 5 great grandchildren; brother Robert I. Miller and his wife Fran and sister, Sharon Kratzer and her husband Richard. She was predeceased by grandson, Michael A. Giannelli.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at 12:00 Noon in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main Street, Emmaus, PA 18049. Visitation will be held prior from 11:00-12:00 Noon.
