Ida Marie Platner Ida Marie Platner passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 20, 2008 in the Phoebe Home at the age of 90. She was born on January 18, 1918 in Union City, NJ to the late parents of Ida and George Rahm of Union City, NJ. She had been married 65 years to her husband Frank Armstrong Platner of Weehawken, NJ who is prior deceased. Marie belonged to Christ Lutheran Church of Fairview, NJ. She did volunteer work for The Fairview Free Library, Fairview, NJ and The Parkland Community Library of South Whitehall. Prior to this, Marie was employed by Hanover Trust of New York City, NY; Bogata National Bank in Bogota, NJ; Platner Associates and The Trust Company of the Lehigh Valley. She was an avid reader, loved walking in Trexler Park, and led a very full productive life. Survivors: Her loving son, Robert F. Platner and wife Kimberly J. Fritz-Platner; Granddaughters, Keri Ann Bonilla and husband Wilmer Bonilla and Stacey Platner; Great Granddaughter, Cassandra Bonilla. Services: Funeral Services Saturday, April 26, 2008 at 10:00 AM in the Schantz Funeral Home, Inc., 250 Main St., Emmaus. Friends may call 9:00 to 10:00 AM in the funeral home.
