Howard A. Bortz, 92, of Emmaus, died August 24, 2022 in ProMedica Allentown.  He was the husband of Shirley L. (Gross) Bortz.  Born in Alburtis, he was the son of the late Daniel E. and Sarah (Adams) Bortz.  Howard honorably served his country in the Army during Korea.  He worked as a meat salesman for B & M Provisions for many years, retiring in 1995.  He was a member of St. John's U.C.C., the Fourth Alarmers and Fire Company #1, Emmaus.

Howard is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Shirley; daughters, Sharon wife of Jon Kleintop of Alburtis, Kathy Bortz of Emmaus, and Susan Anthony of Allentown; 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.  He was predeceased by a son, Dale Bortz.

Memorial services will be held on Mon., Aug. 29, 2022 at 11:00 AM in Schantz Funeral Home, 250 Main St., Emmaus.  Visitation 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the funeral home.  Interment will follow in Northwood Cemetery.
