Henry T. Mohr Henry T. Mohr, 93, of Allentown, died July 5, 2013 in Devon House and went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was the widower of Bessie (Hemphill) Mohr, Florence (Gunkle) Mohr, and Emma (Mohr) Rice. Born in Macungie, he was the son of the late Lawrence D. and Susan H. (Schantz) Mohr. He worked as a letter carrier for the US Postal Service for 36 years, retiring in 1977. He honorably served his country in the Army as a Staff Sergeant during WWII and Korea. He was a member of Upper Milford Mennonite Church, where he served as a Deacon, Lay Minister, Sunday School Superintendent, and Teacher. He was a HAM Radio operator and life member and past president of the Lehigh Valley Amateur Radio Club, member of the Delaware Valley Antique Radio Club, 50 plus year member of AARL, an avid gardener, and was the movie man at Patriots Park in the 1960's. Henry loved to eat and enjoyed going out to eat and was a fan of Uncle Jeffrey. He will be missed for his sense of humor, ability to tell jokes, and his meaningful prayers at family dinners. Survivors: Son, Roger E. Mohr of Allentown; Daughters, Sylvia C. wife of Thomas Hilmer of Macungie, Susan K. Mohr of Allentown, and Sharon K. Rider of Allentown; Sisters, Susan Kleppinger of Macungie, Florence wife of Robert Reiss of Emmaus, and Alice wife of Kenneth Kline of Emmaus; 6 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great Great Granddaughter; Close Radio Buddy, Jim Amici. He was predeceased by a daughter, Lisa H. Mohlman. Services: Funeral Services Wed., July 10, 2013 at 11:00 AM in Upper Milford Mennonite Church, 6450 Kings Highway South, Zionsville, PA 18092.
