February 16, 1946 – March 15, 2022
Henry Horatio Cassler, III, 76, of Emmaus, passed peacefully March 15, 2022 at home with his family after battling cancer. He was the husband of Elisebet (Hildisch) Cassler. Born in Columbus, OH, he was the son of the late Henrietta Margaret (Farr) Cassler and Henry Horatio Cassler, Jr. Hank was an Eagle Scout and graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh in 1968 with a BS degree in civil engineering. He worked for Buckeye Pipeline for 40 years, retiring in 2008. Hank was a member of The Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, Emmaus for over fifty years serving as the President of the Congregational Council, singing bass in the adult choir and leading numerous construction projects.
Henry is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Elisebet; daughter, Margaret Cassler Klein, Kenneth Klein (son-in-law), Courtney Jolie Klein of Gettysburg; daughter, Rebecca Cassler Fearing, Douglas Fearing (son-in-law), Dylan Henry Fearing (grandson), Avery Elisabeth Fearing (granddaughter) of Austin, TX.
Memorial services will be held on Sat. March 26, 2022 at 11:00 AM in The Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, 3461 S. Cedar Crest Blvd., Emmaus, PA 18049. Visitation 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the church. Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements. Masks will be required for the visitation and service in the church.
