Helen R. Zanger, 93, of Boyertown and formerly of Emmaus, died December 11, 2015 at her home. She was the wife of the late George O. Zanger, Jr. Born in Boyertown, Helen was the daughter of the late Milton and Clara (Erb) Keim. She was a graduate of Lankenau Hospital School of Nursing. Helen worked as a private duty RN and later as an industrial nurse for Air Products, retiring in 1986. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Allentown. Helen enjoyed gardening, quilting, canning, cooking, and was a member of the Emmaus Garden Club.
Survivors: Son, Peter K. Zanger of Naugatuck, CT; Daughter, Susan E. wife of Phillip Nester of Smithsburg, MD; Brother, William Keim; Sister, Grace John and Mary Sears; 8 Grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren, and 3 Great Great Grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, George O. Zanger, III and a daughter, Judith K. Kee.
Services: Memorial Services Saturday, Dec. 19, 2015 at 11:00 AM in Schantz Funeral Home P.C., 250 Main Street, Emmaus. Visitation 10:30 to 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Northwood Cemetery.
