Harold H. Solt, 88, of Fort Myers, Fl, formerly of Macungie, died June 27, 2024 in his residence.  He was the husband of the late Shirley A. (Herbster) Solt.  Born in Lehighton, he was the son of the late Howard S. and Sadie I. (Troxel) Solt.  Harold worked for Mack Trucks for 27 years, retiring in 1991.  During retirement, he worked as a transfer driver for Ryder Trucks in Fort Myers and was part owner of DevonHouse.  He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Macungie.  He was a member of Emmaus Lions Club, past president of Lower Lehigh Lions Club, past president of Fort Myers High Noon Lions Club, Zone chairman of District 14K, member of the Mercantile Club of Emmaus, and Macungie Fire Co. He was active in the masons and member of Emmaus Lodge #792, Lehigh Consistory, Rajah Shrine Club, and Lehigh Shrine Club.  He was also a member and past president for 15 years of the Keystone Club of Jamaica Bay.

Harold will be remembered by his daughter, Karen L. wife of Roger Durn of Macungie; grandsons, Erik and Bradley; five great grandchildren; companion, Marilyn Meir.  He was predeceased by his son, Jeffrey S. Solt and sister, Edna Muffley.

Memorial and Lions Club services will be held on Sat. July 20, 2024 at 11:00 AM in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus. Visitation 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the funeral home.
