Gregory L. Slifer, 59, of Emmaus, passed away January 17, 2016, in Lehigh Valley Hospital. Born in Allentown, he was the son of Lloyd E. Slifer and the late Francine D. (Schumaker) Slifer. He was a member of Steamfitters Union Local 420.

Survivors: Father; Son, Blake G. Slifer of Emmaus; Sister, Sally Slifer Ryan wife of Jim Ryan of Coopersburg; Brother, Scott Slifer and wife Christie of Woodsboro, MD.

Services: Funeral service will be held on Wednesday Jan. 20, 2016 at 3:00 PM in Schantz Funeral Home P.C. 250 Main St. Emmaus. Visitation 1:30 to 3:00 PM in the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Northwood Cemetery. A luncheon will be held at Citizen's Fire Co. # 2 following the services at the graveside.

Contributions: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., to be donated to a charity chosen by the family at a later time.
