Gladys A. Fink Gladys A. Fink, 88, of Macungie, died Sept. 23, 2008 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital. She was the wife of Allen D. Fink. They celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary in November 2007. Born in Macungie, she was the daughter of the late Harry E. and Beulah (Frey) Lichtenwalner. After graduating from Emmaus High School in 1938, she worked in the shirt factory in Emmaus as an inspector. She was a member of Solomons U.C.C., Macungie, where she served as a Sunday School Teacher and a member of the choir. She was the Macungie News correspondent for the Morning Call for 34 years. She was a charter member of the Macungies Womans Club, a board member of both Emmaus and Macungie Womans Club for many years, and Chaplain of Macungie and Lehigh County Womans Club. She was a member of the Macungie Grange since 1937 and lady Assistant Stewart for 41 years. She was a member of the original Macungie Minstrellaires, Chaplain of the Lehigh AARP #4150, membership chairman of the 10-2 at St. Johns U.C.C., Emmaus, and Secretary-Treasurer of the Emmaus High School Class of 1938. She was a seamstress and quilter and will also be remembered for her baby blankets. Survivors: Husband; Son, Dale A. Fink and wife Theta of Simpsonville, SC; Daughter, Patricia wife of Ronald DiStefano of Easton; Brothers, Walter Lichtenwalner of Emmaus and H. Samuel Lichtenwalner of Whitehall; Sister, S. May Keiser of Quakertown; Grandchildren, Steven Fink, Gretchen Vakiener, William Renninger, and Kamaryn Jennings; 7 Great Grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Services: Funeral Services Saturday, Sept. 27, 2008 at 10:30 AM in Solomons U.C.C., 82 South Church St., Macungie. Friends may call Friday 7:00 to 8:30 PM in the Schantz Funeral Home, Inc., 250 Main St., Emmaus and Saturday 9:00 to 10:30 AM in the church.
