Gerald "Jerry" E. Strauss, age 84, of Bethlehem, previously of Macungie, passed away on March 1, 2024 at Country Meadows in Bethlehem. Born in Emmaus, he was the son of the late Earl and Ellen (Ziegler) Strauss. He was the loving husband of Jean W. (Erich) Strauss with whom he shared 62 years of marriage.

He graduated from Emmaus High School in 1957 and completed several college courses. Gerald proudly served in the United States Marine Corps and was honorably discharged. He was a Supervisor for Western Electric and a member of Solomon's U.C.C., in Macungie.

Gerald is survived by his wife Jean; son, Jeffrey D. Strauss; daughter, Wendy A. Strauss; three grandchildren; one great grandchild and sister, Bonnie Amey.

Services will be announced at a later date. Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
