Gerald S. Fake, 79, of Emmaus, died April 10, 2022 in Lehigh Valley Hospital.  He was the husband of Carol A. (Smurda) Fake.  Born in Ephrata, he was the son of the late Rev. Sterling A. and Cleo V. (Harding) Fake.  He was a 1961 graduate of Emmaus High School, lettering in football and track.  Gerald was a member of UAW 677 and worked as an assembler for Mack Trucks for 35 years, retiring in 1999.  He loved hunting and fishing and was a member of the Upper Milford Twp. Recreation Committee, where he coached baseball.

Gerald is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Carol; sons, Todd M. Fake and wife Lisa of Breinigsville and Brian K. Fake and wife Holly of Portland; grandchildren, Megan wife of William Lutterschmidt and Michael Fake; great grandson, William Joseph Lutterschmidt; sister, Eileen Hildenbrandt of Northampton.

A memorial service will be held on Mon., April 18, 2022 at 11:00 AM in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus.  Visitation 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the funeral home.
