He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marjory Standley Payne, and four children, Barton of Houston, TX, Roger of Rochester, MN, Matthew of Hereford, PA and T. Helen of Hereford, PA, two grandchildren, Emily and Ian of Houston, TX, three brothers, Bobof Upland, CA, Tom of Luzerne, CA and Stanley of Colorado and one sister, Margaret Walsh of Hisperia, CA.
