George J. Konrath, 91, of Macungie, died May 1, 2018 in Westminster Village.  He was the husband of Barbara A. (Meckley) Konrath, with whom he celebrated 26 years of marriage.  Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Stella and George J. Konrath, Sr.  He worked as a mechanic for Binney Smith, Easton for over 30 years.  He honorably served his country in the Coast Guard during WWII.  He was a member of the American Legion.

His is survived by his loving wife, Barbara; Sons, Marc Gilio and wife Jenifer of Emmaus and Jerry Gilio and wife Lisa of Long Island, NY; Daughter, Candace wife of George Schmidt of Bethlehem; Sister, Janet wife of Kurt Laubach; Grandchildren, Joseph, Samantha, Tony, Justin, Victoria, Gabriella, Samuel, and Nathaniel; Nephews, Joseph and wife Millie and their daughter Megan, Lee and wife Milissa, and David and wife Donna.

Memorial Services will be held Sat., May 12, 2018 at 11:00 AM in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus.  Visitation 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the funeral home.  Interment with military honors will follow in Cedar Hill Memorial Park.
