Obituary

George Hoffman, 85, formerly of Upper Hanover Twp. and Macungie, died October 27, 2016 in Above and Beyond, Allentown. He was the husband of Patricia A. (Kern) Hoffman. Born in Philadelphia, George grew up in Lower Milford Twp. He worked as a fork lift operator for the Pillsbury Company for 35 years, retiring in 1994. After retirement he worked for Lehigh Services and did yard work for Dick Muller. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church – Red Hill, where he was a past church council member. He honorably served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a former firefighter, Assistant Chief, and Engineer for Red Hill Fire Company, was a member of the PA State Fireman's Association, was a life member of the Montgomery County Fireman's Association, and volunteered at the Macungie Flower Garden. He enjoyed going to car, truck, and tractor shows and fireman's parades.

Survivors: Wife; Sons, Alan S. Hoffman and wife Nancy J. of Macungie and David M. Hoffman and wife Susan of Allentown.

Services: Funeral Service Monday, Oct. 31, 2016 at 10:30 AM in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus. Viewing 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the funeral home. Interment with military honors will follow in St. Paul's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Pennsburg.
