Gary J. Rupert, 74, of Allentown, died Jan. 15, 2021 in Lehigh Valley Hospital.  He was the husband of Amy (Seybert) Rupert.  Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Fred L. and Mary (Baker) Rupert.  Gary was a tractor trailer driver for many years, retiring in 2014.  After retirement, he was a school bus driver for Salisbury Twp.  Gary also volunteered at the Second Harvest food bank. He was a member of Lehigh Valley Baptist Church, where he served as an usher and airport shuttle driver for missionaries. Gary trusted Jesus Christ as his Lord and personal Savior and knew that his eternal home was in Heaven.

Gary is survived by his wife of 43 years, Amy; son, Jeff Bower and wife Patti of Bethlehem; daughter, Tiffany, wife of Jeremy Hansen of Allentown; grandson, Cole Bower; brother, Guy Rupert and wife Delores of Macungie; sister, Blanda Reinhard of Hamilton, OH.

Funeral services will be held on Fri., Jan. 22, 2021 at 11:00 AM in Lehigh Valley Baptist Church, 4702 Colebrook Ave., Emmaus, PA 18049.  Viewing 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the church.  Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Allentown.  Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
