Frieda T. Volpone, 70, of Macungie, died December 27, 2014 in her residence. She was the daughter of the late Ferdinand and Theresa Simitz. She retired in 2008 and moved to Macungie after residing in Orangeburg, NY for 35 years. Frieda loved being a mother to her two children and grandmother to three grandchildren. Additionally, she enjoyed reading, watching television, eating mallomar cookies, shopping, and being with people, dear friends, and family. Survivors: Frieda is survived by her husband of 51+ years, Ronald Sr., two children, Ronald Jr. and Theresa, her brother Fritz Simitz, sister-in-law Mildred Simitz, daughter-in-law Mary Kay Volpone, son-in-law John Scott Gregory, and three grandchildren, John, Jason, and Casey Gregory. Services: A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 11:00 AM in St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1040 Flexer Ave., Allentown. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
