Fred Mindlin, 84, of Macungie, died August 5, 2022 in his residence.  He was the husband of Linda K. (Faust) Mindlin.  Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Samuel and Mae (Levitt) Mindlin.  He honorably served his country in the Army Reserves.  Fred owned and operated 5 Fred Mindlin Discount Tire locations for many years, retiring in 2006.  Later he worked parttime as a shuttle driver for Kelly Automotive.  He was of the Jewish faith.  He was a past member of Brookside Country Club and enjoyed golf and bowling.

Fred is survived by his wife, Linda; daughters, Bryna Mindlin Brush wife of Roger and their children, Dylan and Austin, Suzi Sacknoff wife of Larry and their children, Alex and Raquel, and son, Todd Shollenberger and wife Lisa and their children, Joshua and Samantha; brother, Robert Mindlin.

Please join the family for a celebration of Fred's life on Sat., Aug. 20, 2022 at 1:00 PM in the Clubhouse at Wild Cherry Knoll, 2657 Terrwood Dr. West, Macungie.  Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
