Dezzi
June 9, 1952 – March 24, 2022
Born in Philadelphia at Hahnemann Hospital, June 9, 1952, son of the late Frank G. Dezzi and Gloria Ann Dezzi (nee Guidibaldi). He was a graduate of St. Joseph's Preparatory School of Philadelphia, and St. Joseph's College, Philadelphia, PA with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics and Computers, with a 4.0 average.
Frank is survived by a sister Donna L. Nonnemacher (nee Dezzi) wife of Michael D. Nonnemacher of Lower Macungie Township, and a sister Deborah DiTomo (nee Dezzi) wife of Paul DiTomo of Philadelphia, PA.
Frank was an accomplished chess player, even by post card with other players in Russia and other countries. He also taught chess at the Bethlehem Library. Frank also enjoyed card games, especially bridge.
He was also a talented accordion player who arranged and wrote all types of music for accordion: classical, opera, popular music, show music, and Christmas music.
Frank had an amazing analytical mind and enjoyed puzzles, cryptograms, languages, and of course chess, as well as some Asian games such as the Chinese game "Go". Frank also won the 1989 Eastern US Go Championship.
While in the corporate world, Frank received a Vice Presidents award for his computer programing skills.
Adored by all of his nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and great great niece and great great nephew, he was also very generous and loved interacting with them, teaching them chess and other skills. Frank was a gentle, kind person and always helped others. He will be greatly missed.
A memorial service is planned at a later date.
