Obituary

FRANK G. CELLA Frank G. Cella, 84, of Macungie, passed away on Friday, August. 2, 2013 at Lehigh Center. He was the husband of Jane (Buckholtz) Cella. Born in West Pittston, PA, he was the son of the late Pasquale and Mary (Oliveri) Cella; the youngest of 9 siblings. He was a Sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, Korean Service Medal w/Bronze Star and the Korean War Medal. Frank was a graduate of Muhlenberg College and served on their Board of Trustees for 9 years. He retired as the Senior VP of Personnel from Chrysler First in 1992 after 38 years of employment and was an active member of his church for 43 years. Throughout his career, Frank was involved with various organizations including: Rotary, Dale Carnegie, Community Music School, United Way, Boy Scouts of America, Allentown Literacy Council, and Channel 39. He continued to work as a business consultant during retirement and had a great passion for helping people. Frank loved playing his Lowrey organ; enjoyed playing golf and spoiling his cats, Sallyann and Satchelann. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be greatly missed. Survivors: In addition to his loving wife of 57 years; children, Reta J. Geld and her husband Ric of Macungie, Lisa A. Galutia and her husband Richard of York, Jeffrey A. Cella and his wife Donna of Emmaus, William F. Cella of Allentown, and Matthew J. Cella and his fiancée, Marisa Biever of Sanford, FL.; grandchildren, Jonathan and Raina Geld, Nicholas and Alexander Galutia and Lauren Cella; sister, Josephine Fetch of Exeter; nieces and nephews. Services: A Celebration of Life Service and reception will be held on Saturday, September. 28, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at The Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, 3461 S. Cedar Crest Blvd, Emmaus, PA 18049. Please RSVP to TributeForFrank@gmail.com.
