Frances C. Knauss Frances C. Knauss, 84, formerly of Allentown, died May 24, 2009 in Cedarbrook. She was the widow of the late Niles H. Knauss. Born in Macungie, she was the daughter of the late William H. and Mary A. (Bilger) Ritter. She worked for many years in the ladies clothing department of Laneco, retiring in 1986. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Macungie. Survivors: Son, Gunnar D. Knauss and wife Sheryl A. of Macungie; Daughter, Nancy A. wife of Larry Price of Everett, WA; Brother, Dale Ritter of Coopersburg; Grandchildren, Damon and Amber.
