Florence J. Craig, 97, of Allentown, died Sept. 7, 2021 in Lehigh Valley Hospital.  She was the wife of the late Robert G. Craig, Sr.  Born in Minneapolis, MN, she was the daughter of the late H. Russell and Ruth M. (Green) Jones.  She was a gifted homemaker and hostess; she could be found cooking gourmet meals for guests in supporting her husband's career while caring for her children and home.  She was a talented seamstress creating haute couture, everyday clothes for her children, slip covers and handcrafts of all kinds.  Florence was a member of Grace Lutheran Church at The Lutheran Home at Topton, where her faith in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ was evident throughout her life.  As a depression era child, she experienced what many can only imagine.  She spoke often of what it was like as a child and the fun she had at Lake George.  One of her favorite songs was "On a Wing and a Prayer" and often spoke of her recollections of WWII and how she met her husband and of those lost during the war.

Florence is survived by her son, Robert G. Craig, Jr. of Allentown; daughters, Margaret L. wife of Martin J. Buss of Slatington and Catherine E. wife of Richard Kaiser of Allentown; sisters, Carol wife of James Olson of Champlin, MN and Roberta wife of Evan Rhoda of Willowbrook, IL; brother-in-law, Byron Craig and wife Lavern of Fort Smith, AR; 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Sat., Sept. 11, 2021 at 2:00 PM in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus.  Viewing 1:00 to 2:00 PM in the funeral home.  Interment will follow in Western Salisbury Cemetery.
