Fern M. Schuster Fern M. Schuster, 93, of Emmaus, died April 4, 2014 in Cedarbrook. She was the wife of the late Karl J. Schuster who died February 28, 2011. Born in Emmaus, she was the daughter of the late Charles A. Hensinger and Grace V. Kulp. She, along with her late husband, owned and operated the Vera Cruz Hotel from 1953 to 1971. Prior to retiring in 1985 she worked at Dan Schantz Farm, Emmaus Shirt Factory and Emmaus Telephone Co. Survivors: Daughters, Sylvia A. Dech of Topton, Vickie S. Fegley wife of Thomas Fegley of Emmaus and Cindy L. Schuster of Emmaus; 16 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and 19 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by sons Lee K. Schuster, Karl J. Schuster, Jr., grandson, Marc Schuster. Services: Funeral Services Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at 12 Noon in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main Street, Emmaus. Viewing 11:00 AM to 12 Noon in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Northwood Cemetery.
