Faye Catherine Derr, age 90, of Allentown, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2022.  She was born on Jan. 16, 1932 in Macungie; the daughter of Jonathan and Emma Schantzenbach.  She was in the class of 1950 at Emmaus High School.

Faye's memory will be cherished in the lives of her surviving family:  her husband of 67 years, William S. Derr; her 2 daughters, Toni L. Derr and Tami F. Minneci; her 3 grandchildren, Zachary Minneci, Cassidy Minneci, and Ryan Minneci; her sister, Esther Mohr, her sister-in-law, Viola Schantzenbach, and nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her sister, Verna Powell, and 6 brothers, Leon, Harley, Norman, Henry, Paul, and Woodrow Schantzenbach.

Faye worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for Wm. H. Taylor & Co. before becoming a full-time homemaker.  She loved to cook, bake, sew, play cards, and spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements will be held privately by Schantz Funeral Home, Emmaus.
