Esther Lois Schiavone, age 94, of Breinigsville, passed away on February 28, 2024, at The Willow in Macungie. Born in East Texas, PA, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Minerva (Litzenberger) Backenstoe. She was the loving wife of the late Carmine Schiavone.

She graduated from Allentown High School in 1947. She worked as a notary public and as a bookkeeper for various companies in the Lehigh Valley. She was a member of Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church in Allentown.

Esther is survived by her nephews and nieces and their families, for whom she was a wonderful aunt. She was predeceased by a brother and four sisters.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
