Obituary

Emma B. Wieder, 101, of Macungie, formerly of Grand Junction, CO, died Sept. 27, 2021 in The Willow.  She was the wife of the late Donald C. Wieder.  Born in Ringtown, she was the daughter of the late Frank E. and Minerva (Lindenmuth) Swank.  During WWII, she worked at an ammunition plant in Elkton, MD, an airplane plant in Pottstown, and Mack Trucks.  She later worked as a seamstress for Marmot Factory in Colorado until retiring in 1982.  She was a member of Solomon's U.C.C., Macungie.  Emma was a super creative person and enjoyed crafting pheasant feather pictures, making leather purses, and making unique cowboy hat bands.

Emma is survived by her daughter, Nancy A. wife of Larry Mory of Emmaus; sister, Grace Lawrence of Macungie; grandchildren, Denise wife of Steven Lechmanik and Todd L. Mory and wife Amy; great grandchildren, Stefan, Nicholas, Jessica, and Jake.  She was predeceased by 7 siblings.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.  Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
