Emily J. Dreas, 85, of Emmaus, died June 8, 2024 in St. Luke's Hospital Allentown Campus. She was the wife of the late Carlton T. Dreas. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late George D. and Myrtle V. (Schmick) Arnold. She was a 1956 graduate of Allentown High School. Emily worked for The First National Bank of Allentown, Emmaus Bank, Meridian Bank, CoreStates Bank, and retired in 2000 from Santander Bank. She played the piano for the Neil Kline Chorus. Emily served as the organist at St. John's Lutheran church, Emmaus and Old Zionville U.C.C. She was a member of Old Zionsville U.C.C. She was life member of the Mercantile Club of Emmaus and former member of the Emmaus Jr. Woman's Club and Order of Eastern Star.
Emily will be remembered by her daughter, Carolyn S. Rhoads and companion Robert Schmeltzle, Jr. of Emmaus; son, Dean M. Dreas and wife Kerri S. (Schaffer) Dreas of Emmaus; grandchildren, Stephanie, Tyler, Justin, and Ashley; great granddaughter, Madison; sister-in-law, Louise Arnold of Emmaus; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Robert D. Arnold.
Memorial services will be held on Fri., June 14, 2024 at 11:00 AM in Old Zionsville U.C.C., 5981 Fountain Rd., Old Zionsville. Visitation 9:30 to 11:00 AM in the church. Interment will follow in Northwood Cemetery. Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Shriner's Hospital for Children, 3551 N. Broad St., Philadelphia, PA 19140.
