Elmer W. "Red" Sonny" Pysher, 89, of Macungie, died March 21, 2022 in Riverton Rehab and Healthcare Center.  He was the husband of Joan M. (Myer) Pysher.  Born in Bangor, he was the son of the late Willard E. and Pearl (Johnson) Pysher.  He honorably served his country in the Air Force and Navy during the Korean Conflict.  He worked as a service advisor for Lehigh Valley Volkswagen for 34 years, retiring in 1994.  He was a life member of Avona Firehouse, Easton and American Legion Post 611, Easton.

Elmer is survived by his wife, Joan; daughters Linda Pysher Jurczak of Live Oak, FL and Deborah Riley of Bangor; stepdaughters, Robbyn Velasco of Bangor, Valerie Twinning of Coal Twp., Michelle Rodriguez of Coal Twp., and Melody Schessler of Kunkletown; brother, Neil Pysher of Florida; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Graveside services with military honors will be held on Wed., March 30, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.  Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus, is handling arrangements.
