Betty Heinly Elizabeth A. Heinly, 89, formerly of Emmaus, died peacefully June 27, 2011, in Phoebe Home Alzheimers Unit, Allentown. She was the widow of the late Mosby Heinly. Born in Rising Sun, she was the daughter of the late Lucian F. and Anna (Heffelfinger) Semmel. She was a sewing machine operator at Clarfert Manufacturing in Emmaus, and co-founder and co-owner of Century House Candles, Emmaus before retiring. She was a member of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs. She was a charter member, past president and honorary member of the Emmaus Lioness Club, past President of the Schnecksville Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and former member of the Laurys Grange. Survivors: Daughter, Sandra, wife of Fred Bartholomew of Allentown; Son, Larry and wife Barbara (Bernecker) Heinly; Grandchildren: Kirk M. Bartholomew, Abby L. (Bartholomew) Jung, Amber E. (Heinly) Johnson, Ellen M. (Heinly) Sosnoski, and four Great Grandchildren: Alyssa Jung, Leanna Brezak, Owen Sosnoski, Henry Sosnoski.: Nephew Franklin Rabert. Betty was predeceased by Sister Irene (Semmel) Rabert and Brothers Albert and Thomas Semmel. Services: Funeral and Lioness Services, Thursday, June 30, 2011 at 2:00 PM in Union United Church of Christ, 5550 Route# 873, Neffs. Friends may call 1:00 to 2:00 PM in the church.
