Elizabeth "Betty" K. DeLong, age 96, of Allentown, passed away on March 12, 2024 at Cedarbrook Nursing Home in Allentown. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Margaret (Berkemeyer) Bieret.

She graduated from William Allen High School and earned her Nursing Certificate from Allentown Nursing School class of 1948. She worked as a Registered Nurse for Dr. Harwick, Dr. E.J. Carpenter and worked in Washington State and Oklahoma. She was a very active member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Allentown where she volunteered after retiring as a Nurse.

Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Louise DeLong; step son, Robert DeLong; grandchildren, Brian DeLong, Jill Schlimme, Joseph Beck, Scott DeLong, Virginia "Ginny" Beck, Rebecca Bauer and Jennifer DeLong; great grandchildren, Cameron Bauer, Taelyn DeLong, Cassie DeLong, Blake Bauer, Jacob DeLong and Daniel DeLong and daughter-in-law Joane DeLong. She was predeceased by step son Richard "Zeke" DeLong; step daughter, Billie Beck and brothers, James and William Bieret.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 4:00 PM in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main Street, Emmaus, PA 18049. Viewing will be held prior from 3:00-4:00 PM. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
