Eleanor E. Focht, 81, a resident of Allentown, died July 15, 2021 in Lehigh Valley Hospital.  She was the widow of Rev. David P. Focht.  Born in Van Wert, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Katherine (Giessler) Tomlinson.  Eleanor earned a bachelor's degree in sociology from Heidelberg College and an advanced degree in divinity from Lancaster Theological Seminary.  She served as the director of music and organist at St. Paul's U.C.C., Kutztown for 25 years, Grace U.C.C. for 3 years, and Faith Presbyterian Church, Emmaus for 10 years.  She was an active member of the American Guild of Organists.

Eleanor is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Eric and Monica Focht of Denville, NJ; her son and daughter-in-law Brian and Laura Focht of Westerville, OH and 2 granddaughters Brittany and Alyssa Focht.

Eleanor's funeral service is scheduled to be held on Thursday, July 22, 2021, at St. Paul's U.C.C., 47 South Whiteoak St., Kutztown, PA 19530.  The viewing will begin at 10 AM with the funeral services starting at 11 AM.  She will be laid to rest in Hope Cemetery Mausoleum in Kutztown.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Paul's U.C.C.  Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
