Eldon B. Shelly Eldon B. Shelly, 76, of Bethlehem, died May 14, 2008 in his residence. He was the husband of Arlene W. (Westley) Shelly. They celebrated their 42nd wedding anniversary in July 2007. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Eldon H. and Gertrude (Brenckman) Shelly. He was a 1959 graduate of Penn State University with a bachelors degree in Metallurgy and later received an MBA from George Washington University. He worked for Bethlehem Steel as a metallurgist in Sparrows Point and Bethlehem for 33 years, retiring in 1992. He held memberships in several professional organizations. He was an active member of First Presbyterian Church, Bethlehem. He honorably served his country as a Captain in the Army during the Korean Conflict. Survivors: Wife; Daughter, Suzanne S. wife of Mark Eveland of Hightstown, NJ; Brother, William Shelly and wife Pat of Phoenix, AZ.
