Edward J. Lesko, 83, of Allentown, formerly of Emmaus, died August 22, 2022 in St. Luke's Hospice House.  He was the husband of the late Grace R. (Krause) Lesko.  Born in Kuhnsville, he was the son of the late Ferdinand and Alda (Nespala) Lesko.  Ed was a 1957 graduate of Allentown High School, where he excelled at baseball and basketball.  He worked for Lehigh Valley Dairy for 31 years, drove truck for Alpine Beverage, and later worked as a custodian for East Penn School District for 16 years, retiring in 2005.  Ed was an avid softball player for many years and was inducted into the Lehigh Valley Softball Hall of Fame in 2018.  He was a life member of Fearless Fire Company, Mercantile Club of Emmaus, Fire Company #1 Emmaus, Hogans, and the Emmaus Historical Society.  He was also a member of the 1908 Rakers Society and the Firemen's Relief Association.

Edward is survived by his significant other, Sandra J. Blank; brothers, William Lesko and Floyd Lesko; sisters, Margaret Boyle and Josephine Litzenberger; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Fri., Aug. 26, 2022 at 1:30 PM in Schantz Funeral Home, 250 Main St., Emmaus.  Viewing 12:30 to 1:30 PM in the funeral home.  Interment will follow in Lehigh Zion Cemetery, Alburtis.
