Edward F. Kaska Edward F. Kaska, 85, of Emmaus, formerly of Philadelphia, died March 4, 2008 in Lehigh Valley Hospital. He was the husband of Rose Mary (Williamson) Kaska. They celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary in April 2007. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Michael and Helena (Simich) Kvietkauskas. He was a graduate of N.E. Public High School, Philadelphia and a 1947 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy. He worked for UGI, Reading as a utilization engineer from 1967 until retiring in 1992. He honorably served his country in the Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of St. Anns Catholic Church, Emmaus, where he served as a Boy Scout leader, a member of the Knights of Columbus, Allentown, and a member of the American Legion, Philadelphia, Survivors: Wife; Son, Michael J. Kaska of Emmaus; Daughter, Ellen J. Kaska, Esq. of Emmaus and Dr. Susan M. wife of Philip Lessner of Newberry, SC; Sister, Alice Edwards of Jamison, PA. He was predeceased by sons, John and Paul; brother, Albert Kaska; and sister, Helen Edmondson. Services: Funeral Services Saturday, March 8, 2008 at 10:30 AM in the Schantz Funeral Home, Inc., 250 Main St., Emmaus followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in St. Anns Catholic Church, 415 South 6th Street, Emmaus. Viewing Friday 7:00 to 8:30 PM and Saturday 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the funeral home. Burial will follow with military honors in Calvary Cemetery, Emmaus.
