Obituary

Edmund H. "Nupper" Schmidt, 85, of Allentown, died March 8, 2025 in Lehigh Valley Hospital.  He was the companion of Anne Louise (Kehs) LaFaver.  Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Theodore and Betty Schmidt and Ruth (Zeizer) and Charles Broscious.  He worked on the production line for Mack Trucks for 38 years, retiring in 2003.  Nupper was a member of the Tuesday Night Mack Golf League and a member of the Kuhnsville Lions Club.  He attended Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church.

Edmund is survived by his companion of 24 years, Anne Louise; sons, Douglas E. Schmidt and Devin A. Schmidt and wife Heather; daughter, Kimberly Ann Tremble; grandchildren, Olivia, Greyson, Dayne, and Drayce; brother, Ronald Schmidt and wife Cindi; stepbrother, Daniel Broscious; stepsisters, Joni Schmidt and Judy Schmidt-Alban.  He was predeceased by a stepbrother, Robert Prebosnyak.

A funeral service will be held on Sat., March 15, 2025 at 2:00 PM in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus.  Viewing 1:00 to 2:00 PM in the funeral home.  Private interment in Western Salisbury Cemetery.
